The Mitch Pileggi Bibliography
Exclusive to the Office of the Assistant Director!
This bibliography was created and compiled by m.p. and graciously donated
to this site, currently as an exclusive to the World Wide Web, though it
has been sent to Mitch himself and to the MPPB mailing list (more info here).
All my thanks to m.p. on behalf of Mitch fans everywhere. Enjoy!
Here's the amended MP bibliography. This is not all inclusive as MP
is often mentioned briefly in many newspaper and magazine articles about
the X-Files. It also does not include the numerous reviews of 'Shocker.'

QUESTION: Tell me more about Mitch Pileggi (Assistant Director Skinner)
from The X-Files (9 p.m. Fridays on WOFL-Channel 35 and WOGX-Channel 51).
Are they planning to have him in any more episodes? Where can I write to
comment on the show? J.B., Astor.
ANSWER: Born in Portland, Ore., Pileggi lived all over the world, because
his father was a subcontractor for the Department of Defense. After doing
regional theater in Texas, he won a bit role on Dallas and moved to Los
Angeles. He has had guest stints on Models Inc., Roc, China Beach, Hooperman
and Get A Life and roles in the films Basic Instinct and Vampire in Brooklyn.
His character has been so popular with X-Files fans that he is scheduled
to be in 13 more episodes this year. Send your congratulations to Fox, P.O.

"It's no mystery what supporting player Mitch Pileggi's appeal is (as
FBI assistant director Walter Skinner): that face, those shoulders, that
voice, that beautiful bald head...Combine all those with his intelligence,
his primal masculinity, a sense of something wild beneath that cool demeanor,
and perhaps you can begin to understand why so many hearts beat faster when
we see the words 'Also starring Mitch Pileggi' on those too infrequent Friday's."
